SERVICE REQUESTS
The Utility Department responds to requests for service calls daily. Routine service calls consist of starting or disconnecting water or gas service for routine maintenance, planned replacement of lines, moving in/out of residence, etc. Emergency service calls consist of reports of smelling, hearing or seeing signs of a natural gas leak inside or outside of a building, water leaking inside or outside of a building that can potentially cause property damage, etc.
If you need to request a routine service call from the Utility Department, please call the Utility Office at (812) 874-2211, option 1. Typically, all routine service requests are scheduled to be completed within 12-24 hours of request. To ensure that your routine service request can be completed at your preferred time, please call the Utility Office to schedule at least 24 hours prior to the requested time.
Emergency requests for service, are scheduled for immediate response. If you have a utility emergency, call (812) 874-2212, option 3. This line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

UTILITY BILLS & PAYMENTS
Your Town of Poseyville utility bill is generated on the 8th of each month (or business day closest to the 8th) and payment is always due in our office by 4 p.m. on the 23rd of each month. Payments may be made by cash, check or money order in office, at the drive-up window or via the drop box next to the drive-up window. Payments may also be made via debit/credit card by using the paygov.us website or via app on your smart phone available from your app store. In order to pay using debit/credit card using PayGov, you must have your billing account number (found on your bill card), amount you wish to pay and the Town of Poseyville’s Pay Location Code (37861). You may click the link below to be directed to the Town of Poseyville’s PayGov site to make a payment via debit/credit card or you may call or come into the Utility Office to pay via debit/credit card. **Payments made via the PayGov system will be charged a 3% processing/convenience fee by PayGov. The Utility Office is not able to waive this fee, as this is not a fee we are charging.
